About Us
Connecting the Docs was established in 2022 to address the ongoing medical workforce crisis in regional and rural Victoria, specifically in the Loddon Mallee Region.
Formed in response to requests and feedback from local doctors struggling to navigate the healthcare system, the partnership connects doctors with key healthcare organisations, supports their transition into communities, and provides skilled case management to ease system navigation with flexibility.
Main Event Summary
Connecting the Docs Regional Round-Up in Swan Hill
Date: 10–11 April 2025
Location: Swan Hill, Victoria
Connecting the Docs hosted its most successful event to date in collaboration with Murray PHN, RACGP, GPSA, RWAV, and the Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP).
The event welcomed medical students, junior doctors, GP registrars, supervisors, health leaders, and their families. It showcased the rich opportunities in regional medicine across north regional Victoria through discussions, immersive experiences, and community connection.
